Hi! My name is Ciaran Kavanagh and this is my first ever blog post, its all very unusual to me. A few things to know about me are I am from Borris in Co.Carlow. I am twenty one years old and I am currently in my fourth and final year of Bachelor of Business in SETU. I love attending college so this year will be strange to me as I am nervous to graduate! I chose the accounting stream last year and this year will be similar to last year, hard and very exam based. My favourite hobbies is sports! I love watching, talking about and playing sports. My favourite sport is soccer. My favourite team is Chelsea, even though they haven't been very good recently π The module I am writing this blog for is Digital Economy and from what I've grasped so far is we will be learning abou...
Hi Guys, this weeks blog is all about learning!
I will be using https://trailhead.salesforce.com/ as a learning tool to build my knowledge of customer relationship management. Trailhead is free and an excellent source of knowledge. This will be my first time using it so I will be sharing my experience and what I learned from their available courses!π
What I learned ✅
The first module I viewed was about predicting and forecasting sales. Forecasting is so important as it is basically viewing a companies overall 'health'. Using Salesforces collaborative forecasting tool. the best way to forecast sales with confidence is by using real time data, making the forecast around how your company does business and using visuals , built in charts to predict change and create comparison between different periods. π°
The second module I viewed was a comparison between the Salesforces admins and business analyst roles. The first difference I noticed was that the admins role is operational while the business analyst is a project based role. The admin sets up users, security measures and processes and they maintain data on the Salesforce platform. The BA use this data to plan and oversee future projects. π»
The final module I viewed was learning about the tableau cloud. The Tableau cloud is a secure, cloud based solution for creating and sharing content created in the cloud, similar to what I used on placement. Salesforce hosts the Tableau cloud so the company does not have to worry about updates or improving infrastructure. The tableau cloud could be essential to a company as it securely holds so much data and projects inside of it. ⛅
Trailhead was a great site that gave a look into the benefits of Salesforce and its quick and free to learn.
I would recommend it to anyone who is interested, if anyone uses it please let me know in the comments, how your experience was with it ? ✋
