Welcome to my Blog!

  Hi! My name is Ciaran Kavanagh and this is my first ever blog post, its all very unusual to me. A few things to know about me are I am from Borris in Co.Carlow. I am twenty one years old and I am currently in my fourth and final year of Bachelor of Business in SETU. I love attending college so this year will be strange to me as I am nervous to graduate! I chose the accounting stream last year and this year will be similar to last year, hard and very exam based. My favourite hobbies is sports! I love watching, talking about and playing sports. My favourite sport is soccer. The module I am writing this blog for is Digital Economy and from what I've grasped so far is we will be learning about digital systems and how they affect the workplace. Last semester I did an 8 month work placement in IFAC Kilkenny SME. From my college course, I thought the accountancy practice was all done through pen and paper but IFAC showed how much it's influenced through digital systems. Every task I done was through a computer. IFAC uses internal software to do their tasks which include a remote desktop application application which gives access to IFAC's 'cloud' 


I will be updating this blog weekly, with a different topic every time. Throughout the module, I look forward to learning more about digital systems and how they affect the workplace. 👋

It's All About Engagement!

Hi Guys, Another blog from me today, this week I'm going to be looking at how to engage my audience with my posts, hopefully its not to late 😉. Grabbing and keeping an audience's attention is critical to successful communication so I will be explaining some ideas I used to keep you engaged with my posts.                                                                 Firstly, I identified my target audience, being college students.
